Another Apple iPhone Explodes Due To Battery Life Issues

Apple definitely has some of the most loyal users in the smartphone market. Hardly does an iPhone user make the switch to an Android device. However, this might all change with the recent reports popping up regarding the Cupertino-based company's drawbacks, which include an exploding battery and an exceptionally inferior battery life.

Exploding Batteries Are The New Trend

A few days ago, reports circulated that an iPhone 7 exploded while on transit to its owner. The user did not how or why it happened, but that it did. Individuals applauded Apple for quickly acting on the same, as it vowed to replace the defective unit. And while many individuals called it an isolated incident, that may not actually be the case.

A report by BGR notes that another individual has reported a unit exploding. This time, however, the device was in the user's back pocket when it exploded, which resulted in second-degree burns on the left side of his body. He was using an iPhone 6S.

Oddly enough, there have also been other reports claiming the same. Other than the two incidents described above, another iPhone 6S also apparently caught in flames during the user's class.

Why Apple's Battery

There is no doubt that Apple uses the same lithium-ion technology in its batteries as Samsung does. As these batteries have been blamed for the explosion of the Galaxy Note 7 units, it is logical that it could happen to the iPhone as well. However, there is no question that Samsung's battery life is far superior when compared to Apple's.

As Investor's Business Daily reports, the iPhone 7's battery life - which Apple boasts is the best it has ever had - can offer up to 712 minutes of calls over 3G. However, Samsung's Galaxy S7 can last for 1,492 minutes, which is more than twice the time.

As of now, Apple has not addressed the claims against its devices, other than replacing the defective units.
