'The Big Bang Theory' Season 11 Renewal Updates, Spoilers: Sheldon And Amy's Engagement Coming

"The Big Bang Theory" season 11 and season 12 are nearing confirmation. CBS Television Network is in the final stages of renewing "The Big Bang Theory" for two more seasons with a pay raise to its cast members. There are speculations the upcoming season will feature Sheldon and Amy's engagement.

According to a report, CBS is preparing a two-season deal with "The Big Bang Theory" stars. Insiders revealed that Johnny Galecki (Leonard Hofstadter), Kaley Cuoco (Penny), Jim Parsons (Sheldon Cooper) would remain in a contract of $1 million per episode. Meanwhile, Kunal Nayyar (Rajesh Koothrapalli) and Simon Helberg (Howard Wolowitz) would be signing a new contract similar with the three. The network is also negotiating new contracts for Mayim Bialik (Amy Farrah Fowler) and Melissa Rauch (Bernadette).

CBS Entertainment president Glenn Geller previously revealed that he is confident in bringing the cast back for more seasons. If the renewal goes through, the production costs for "The Big Bang Theory" season 11 and season 12 is expected to be as much as $10 million per episode.

There are speculations that Sheldon and Amy will move another step forward in their relationship in "The Big Bang Theory" season 11. The couple is moving at an awfully slow pace which was further derailed by a breakup in season 8. Amy even started to date other men. However, the two are back together and in "The Big Bang Theory" season 10, the couple finally started living together and have a sexual relationship.

Fans might hear wedding bells soon. Predictions are, Sheldon is going to propose to Amy in "The Big Bang Theory" season 11. Previously, executive producer Steven Molaro teased about an upcoming wedding. He added it is not going to be immediately but sometime in the near future. Meanwhile, "The Big Bang Theory" season 10, episode 18 will return on Thursday, March 9.
