Rare Nintendo NES Classic And Switch Available At Best Buy Today
Nintendo is discontinuing the NES Classic Edition in favor of focusing on producing more Switch. Both consoles are extremely hard to find, and all items in retail outlets usually get sold out the moment they become available. That's why it's probably a good idea for Nintendo fans to head over to Best Buy right now since it will be selling the last units of the NES starting today.
The game console giant is offering its limited and last stocks of the NES at brick and mortar Best Buy stores. The consoles won't be available at the retailer's online shop. So if you're planning on buying one right now, better join the long line that's probably already forming at the store.
Although it's basically good news to hardcore Nintendo NES Classic and Switch fans, you might end up empty-handed since Best Buy offered no guarantees regarding the consoles' availability. According to Game Spot, Best Buy announced the arrival of the rare stock on its Twitter account, declaring that both NES and Switch will be available at "most" stores. However, you'll need to check with your local store to confirm availability, since both consoles tend to sell out quickly.
For Switch, Best Buy's weekly flyer lists the restock of units this Friday, April 28. The arrival of new units coincides with the release of the biggest Switch game since the console was launched early this year, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. According to the TechCrunch, since Switch's sales is skyrocketing, and units also immediately get sold out, the company probably wants to focus more on producing it than keep on spending production for NES Classic.
Nintendo did say that people should buy Nintendo’s latest console if they want to play Nintendo games. However, rumor has it that the company is also working on a SNES Classic Edition that will be available by the end of the year. Meanwhile, if you want to get your hands on the rare NES Classic and equally elusive Switch console, better visit Best Buy.
