Dragon Ball FighterZ Latest News: One Of The Most Loved Characters Coming?

A translation of the latest issue of the Japanese magazine Weekly Shonen Jump indicates that Future Trunks may be coming to Dragon Ball FighterZ. There are no details as to how one of the most loved characters of the Dragon Ball Universe will be playable in the game. At least his fans will be happy to know the latest news that he will be one of the characters that will join the game's roster.

Future Trunks Will Be Wielding A Sword

Many fans of Dragon Ball FighterZ believe that Future Trunks will be using his sword and may even transform into his Super Saiyan form just like Son Goku and Vegeta. A promo artwork of the game was the source of this latest news. That artwork featured Future Trunks near the bottom of the page.

In addition to this latest news about the inclusion of Future Trunks in Dragon Ball FighterZ, Jump magazine also mentioned something about a closed beta test being planned by the game developer. But there were no details given in this regard. Apparently, the game developer will provide the details at a later date.

He Is Different From Regular Trunks

As all avid Dragon Ball followers know, Future Trunks is different from regular trunks. He is from the future and thus, belongs to an alternate world. It is the domain of Androids 17 and 18 who were transformed into Hulkmania. He is also armed with a sword coming into Dragon Ball FighterZ.

When Androids 17 and 18 killed most of the Z Fighters, their planet was thrown into an apocalyptic state. This is where Future Trunks comes in. He went back in time to help the Z Fighters fight the two Androids and prevent them from killing Goku. This is his backstory as he enters the new Dragon Ball FighterZ.

In Dragon Ball FighterZ, battles happen on the game's 2D plane. However, the game is rendered in full-3D. This enables the game to have the Dragon Ball Z anime series graphic visual style. The game is set to arrive on PC in early 2018 as revealed by Microsoft at E3 2017.
