iOS 10.2.1 Jailbreak Release Seems Imminent After ziVA Exploits Surface in Singapore

A functional iOS 10.2.1 jailbreak release seems imminent as a bunch of informative tweets have surfaced via Australia-based Twitter account '@Antique_Dev'.

Prolific jailbreak developer Luca Todesco (of yalu102 fame) had earlier confirmed via Twitter that the yalu102 hack tool would indeed work on iOS 10.2.1 devices. He suggested using ziVA exploits along with source-code injected Donenfeld's privilege escalation exploits to accomplish this feat.

It seems all the pieces of the jailbreak puzzle are now coming together, as Adam Donenfeld of Zimperium recently revealed his ziVA exploits at the Hack in the Box presentation in Singapore.

Now, the latest tweet from @Antique_Dev points to the sandbox bypass using triple-fetch exploit along with the ziVA kernel exploit and yalu102 hack to bypass Kernel Patch Protection, which helps complete the iOS 10.2.1 jailbreak requirements.

Meanwhile, a couple of follow up tweets indicate that the trial version of iOS 10.2.1 jailbreak would be released ahead of the public release. The trial version is expected to come out soon after a working Cydia exploit is found for the jailbreak.

Avid iOS jailbreak fans can now rejoice as the long-awaited iOS 10.2.1 jailbreak is almost ready to go live; besides rumours suggesting that the new jailbreak tool could be more user-friendly than its previous releases.
