OnePlus 3T Gets HydrogenOS Based Android 8.0 Oreo Leaked Firmware [Download]

OnePlus 3T owners are in for some exciting news as the official HydrogenOS build based Android 8.0 Oreo update has just leaked online. The download link for the Chinese ROM is also available for OnePlus 3T via Google Drive, thanks to veteran members of XDA.

OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 5 are yet to receive the final beta builds of Android Oreo update for closed-beta testing while OnePlus 3 has already received the Android 8.0 beta firmware for testing. The OnePlus 3T devices recently received the OxygenOS beta update with Blueborne security patch, new boot animation, and soft screen color calibration.

It must be noted that HydrogenOS is constrained to the Chinese market, while the OxygenOS is rolled out for OnePlus 3T devices sold outside China.

Despite being a Chinese firmware, the freshly leaked Android Oreo firmware contains several apps, lib files and other custom features that could be used by third-party Android developers to make custom ROMs for OxygenOS based firmware on OnePlus 3T.

Several Google Apps like Play Store, Play Services etc. could also be added as part of the Oreo custom ROM as these are not included in the official Chinese ROMs.

Developers are still working on Oreo custom ROMs for the OnePlus 3T. So, those who cannot wait for the official release of the Oreo firmware may go ahead and download the leaked Android 8.0 firmware at their own risk.

As the leaked firmware is in Chinese, only experienced users should try installing it. If something seems to be buggy in the leaked Oreo firmware then you should be ready to restore your device back to stock OxygenOS build with a compatible firmware.

Interested OnePlus 3T users may go ahead and install the leaked Android Oreo firmware on their handset, using the download link provided below.
