Google is now offering a three-month free subscription to Google Play Music All Access when purchasing a 16GB Nexus 7 through the Play store.
All Access is the premium music streaming subscription of Google Play Music and grants access to a large repertoire of thousands of online songs. Google wants to sweeten the deal for those who purchase a 16GB Nexus 7 through its Google Play store by adding a free three-month subscription to the music service.
The LG-made Nexus 7 launched back in 2013 and is the latest tablet in the Nexus lineup. The slate has become very popular due to its neat specs, affordable price tag, and much-touted Nexus experience that guarantees timely updates as soon as a new Android version becomes available. The Nexus 7 is widely considered the best value-for-money tablet in the 7-inch category, and for good reason.
The addition of three months of free Google Play Music All Access now makes the $299 tablet even more attractive. The promotion will run until Sept. 30, but is only available for U.S. residents who make their purchase through Google Play. After making the purchase, Google will send buyers a code for the three-month subscription.
From there on, all users have to do is sign up for a Google Play unlimited music account and redeem the code until Sept. 30. Even if you have previously created an account for All Access, however, you'll still have to create a new account in order to use the code for the free three-month subscription.
If, at the end of this period, you decide that you love the service and would like to keep using it, you can go forward with that subscription and pay the normal $9.99 monthly fee. It's also worth pointing out that you don't have to explicitly select that you want to continue with that subscription. If you forget to cancel it once the free three-month period has expired, Google will automatically extend it and bill you the normal $9.99 per month.
