Sprint LG G3 already in stock, available for purchase – No pre-orders necessary

The Sprint LG G3 has gone live for purchase earlier than expected, complete with its neat gold color option that's a Sprint exclusive in the U.S.

Sprint had previously announced that it will start taking pre-orders for the much-touted LG G3 powerhouse on Friday July 11, but instead of pre-orders the handset went live full force one week ahead of its planned July 18 retail launch.

Checking the Sprint website now shows that the device is actually ready for purchase already, not for pre-order as previously planned. Moreover, Sprint's store finder tool even lists the LG G3 in stock all across the U.S.

In other words, not only did Sprint score the exclusive on the popular gold color option, but it also managed to be the first of the four major U.S. carriers to start selling the device. While all others are still taking pre-orders, the LG G3 is now available for purchase from Sprint despite the fact that it was supposed to go live on July 18.

"Continuing to raise the bar in Android innovation, we are thrilled to team up again with LG to bring another top-of-the-line device to our customers," Sprint Senior VP of Product David Owens said in a press release earlier this month, when announcing the device. "LG G3 is sleek, stylish and powerful to its core with features our customers will truly appreciate. Best of all, Sprint is the only carrier that can boast LG G3 with the power of our Sprint Spark network and the value of Sprint's Framily rate plans."

Other than the exclusive gold color option, Sprint's LG G3 will sport no differences in terms of hardware compared to the other U.S. models. As a reminder, the handset rocks a stunning 5.5-inch QHD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, a hefty 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 13-megapixel rear camera with laser auto focus, among other things.

Sprint is selling the LG G3 for $199.99 on a two-year contract, but is also offering some neat incentives for its Framily plans. For a limited time, customers who purchase an LG G3 on Sprint Easy Pay will receive a $150 American Express Reward Card. This offer is set to expire on July 24. Interested customers can find the black version of the smartphone at this link on Sprint's website, while the exclusive gold LG G3 is available here.
