Apple Releases OS X 10.11.5 El Capitan With Performance Improvements And Bug Fixes

Apple has just exceeded people's expectations. Apple users are definitely more than satisfied of what the company has offered them. Lately, Apple has just updated its OX S El Capitan to new version. All were done before this will be put to an end later this year for newer updates.

According to a post via Computer World, Apple updated OS X El Capitan to version 10.11.5. It patches nearly 70 issues. The update offered few non-security bug fixes and no features. Moreover, it also patches the older OS X Mavericks and OS X Yosemite.

Stephen Brown -- director of product management at Salt Lake City-based LANDESK -- said that of the 67 flaws that are fixed by the update, 12 of them apply to Mavericks and 14 to Yosemite. These updates the iTunes and the Safari browsers. Safari is updated to version 9.1.1, which patched seven vulnerabilities in the said browser. iTunes is updated to 12.4, which solved one security issue. It has a simpler design for that matter now. These updates can be downloaded from the Mac App Store.

According to Mac Rumors, the newly released update is the fifth update to the El Capitan operating system. It was first released in September 2015. Two months after the release of OS X 10.11 .4 came the OS X 10.11.5. This update introduced Live Photos for Messages. It also includes the password-protected notes in the Notes app. Based on Apple's annual release schedule, it will support the operating system for 3 years.

Apple users surely will make the most out of the updates. Since new updates are given almost every now and then, Apple users are expected to wait patiently for the newest versions to come.
