'Marco Polo' Season 3 Rumors: Kublai Khan's New Enemy To Be Prester John; Season 2 Finale Recap

'Marco Polo', which is one of today's rising series from Netflix, just ended their second season. An upcoming third season has not yet been confirmed, however the various turn of events from their second season has definitely got the eyes of the viewers locked on them.

'Marco Polo' has sent a message to its viewers emphasizing that hunger for power and gaining it can cost more than what some people willing sacrifice. According to Screen Rant, this was proven to be true when Kublai's wife, Empress Chabi, forced a stable boy on Princess Kokachin to secure her family's rule for more generations. However, the wanted result was gained at the cost of Princess Kokachin's sanity. The princess decided to kill herself to avoid living a life that was too full of guilt.

If a third season for Marco Polo is to be pushed through, a new enemy is going to enter the picture, Prester John. His presence in the show is considered a threat since his mere existence in history has only been considered a legend, and has not been confirmed to be an actual human being. In spite of him being only told to be a legend, there are others who claim of his existence all around Asia.

Parent Herald reported that in the show, Prester John has been introduced as an upcoming enemy with mystical powers, which makes him more a threat to the empire. If a third season for 'Marco Polo' may be in the works, Prester John's character is assumed to be considered in the story line as depicted by the viewers and critics.

It was shown during the season two finale of 'Marco Polo' that Khutulun has proved that she was trying to find ways to retain power. She said all the horrible things in order to decay the empire, without it being in the hands of the enemies. A third season for the show will put more story and answers to its storyline.
