Disney Releases Sneak Peek Of 2nd Trailer For First Ever Polynesian Princess Film 'Moana'

Disney released a sneak peek of the second trailer for their new princess movie, "Moana". In the trailer, a new character that might be the main villain of the movie was revealed.

NBC will debut the full trailer this coming Sunday while covering the Olympics opening ceremony. Comicbook  reported that the sneak peek showed the Lava Witch, who was first introduced in D23 or Disney's official fan club in a single piece of drawing. In this sneak peek for the trailer, fans can see more of her. The Lava Witch definitely embodies her name as she looks like a molten lava in a lady figure.

This movie is another one from Disney that gives women and young ladies empowerment. Moana, as shown in the first trailer, is an independent lady who is very brave and lovely. She has a connection with the nature and a pet pig. Moana Waialiki will save her family and the whole tribe. She is set for an epic adventure with the demi-god Maui.

"Moana" is a very much anticipated film for Disney fans especially for the Polynesians. This is the first time ever that Disney will star a Polynesian princess in their film. The main character is voiced by the newcomer Auli'i Cravalho, a 14-year-old Hawaiian native who was discovered during a local charity competition. Border Mail said she defeated hundreds of other actresses who auditioned for the same role. "Moana" will illustrate different Polynesian traditions and its culture. It will also show many mythologies about their gods and goddesses.

The movie will also star Dwayne Johnson as Maui, the demi-god who will join Moana in her quest. The film is directed by Ron Clements and John Musker. The movie also has Lin-Manuel Miranda who created the music of Hamilton. The movie will come out in theaters this coming November.
