‘Fast And Furious 8’ Trilogy: Rumors, Cast, Release Date And More!

After the end of Fast and Furious 7's production, actor Vin Diesel confirms a sequel which is reportedly entitled 'Fast 8.' But with actor Paul Walker out of the picture, what will be the next direction of the franchise? Based on the previous statement from Vin Diesel, Furious 7 was for Paul and Fast 8 will be from Paul, as the actor always predicts a possible sequel before his sudden death.

According to Christian Post, the film's title is finalized as 'Fast 8.' The movie highlights the return of notable side characters in the franchise such as Eva Mendez, Jason Statham and will introduce new character in Brian's brother who will be portrayed by Paul's real-life brother, Cody Walker. It is also expected to have the appearance of Dwayne Johnson's character, as the actor recently said that he is interested on having a solo movie for Hobbs while the idea is still under negotiation and no further reports.

Actress Helen Mirren also reportedly shows interest on a possible involvement in the next film. Diesel agrees to the sentiment and he might have possible options for her to be involved like being the mother to Natalie Emmanuel's character and the ruler of the Shaw clan. The return of Lucas Black's character Sean Boswell may also be a possibility, replacing Brian as Dominic's right-hand.

According to Movie Web, Actor Vin Diesel promised one last trilogy. This sequence will mark the end of the Fast and Furious franchise. The actor is also in search for a new director of the film and said that the franchise is too special for just anyone. Actress Michelle Rodriguez shares her sentiment regarding the next Fast and Furious film. She said that it needs a good director for the movie and the cast to transcend and keep its pace after the death of Paul Walker.

'Fast 8' will be the start of the final trilogy of the franchise, as Diesel already confirms the release dates of the movie and its other sequels. According to Diesel, 'Fast 8' be launched on April 14, 2017, followed by Fast and Furious 9 on April 19, 2019 and the final film that will conclude the trilogy, the Fast and Furious 10 will be this coming April 2, 2021.
