'Minecraft' Update: Oculus Rift Support For Windows 10 Beta Edition Coming Next Week

Many people have been dreaming about playing their favorite games on virtual reality and for "Minecraft" lovers, this is going to be a reality soon. Mojang's Tommaso Checchi has confirmed that "Minecraft" can be played with Oculus Rift starting next week.

Checchi posted on his Twitter account on August 11 that release dates have been changed. Release date will be earlier than expected so fans can celebrate about that. It was just last month when the creator of "Minecraft" has confirmed that the game will be available on Oculus Rift.

Minecraft will be launched on Oculus Rift for Microsoft Windows 10 Beta edition (version 0.15.6) sometime next week as Engadget said. This will give definitely give "Minecraft" fans a whole new experience as they can now experience the game in virtual reality. Playing the game with Oculus rift will be a whole new level of fun for fans of Minecraft. 

For gamers who own "Minecraft" on Windows 10 and an Oculus Rift, they can definitely enjoy the game once it is out. They just have to log in to their Mojang account and follow the steps on how to activate it. The version which allows the player to play with the rift will also have the features like the regular one. Common features like multiplayer, Creative and Survival gameplay modes will all be present.

Currently, the Beta version in Windows can be downloaded for free as long as you have "Minecraft" in your PC. This might continue after the release of the version with Oculus Rift. However, it might also be discontinued because Microsoft and Mojang have not discussed this part of the deal yet. "Minecraft" is one of the most played games. PCMag has reported that "Minecraft" has sold over 100 million copies to date. Mojang had sold more than 106,859,714 copies of its game, or roughly 53,000 per day.
