'Rings' Reveals First Full-Length Trailer, Samara In Digital Age?

After Sadako and Kayako, another lady is coming back to scare us to our wits end-Samara. Paramount Pictures has finally released its first full-length movie trailer for "Rings," the third installment of the "Ring," franchise, which is scheduled to premiere on Oct. 28.

"Rings" is set 13 years after the events of the first movie, and is focused on a young woman named Julia, played by Matilda Anna Ingrid Lutz, who is anxious about her boyfriend exploring a dark subculture of a mysterious videotape said to kill people a week after viewing it. "Julia ultimately sacrifices herself to save her beau, though, over the course of her last week on Earth, she discovers another mysterious 'movie within the movie' no one else has ever seen before," Entertainment Weekly noted. 

In the modernized "Rings," Samara is ditching her old VHS tape as she switches with the more advanced, email messaging to haunt. 

The trailer promises a lot of creeps and terror just in time for the Halloween. Watch the video below:

The movie, which was originally scheduled in November last year, is the sequel to the Japanese film remake "The Rings." The first part was released in 2002 while the second hit the theaters in 2005.

Bonnie Morgan, known actress and contortionist who also appeared on "The Rings 2" will play Samara. Others casts include Alex Roe (The Fugitives) as Holt, Julia's boyfriend; Johnny Galecki (The Big Bang Theory) as Gabriel, professor who helps Julia and Holt; Laura Wiggins (Dance of the Dead)  as Faith and Aimee Teegarden (Friday Night Lights) as Sky.

"Rings" is directed by F. Javier Gutiérrez, Spanish filmmaker who also directed "Before the Fall" and penned by Akiva Goldsman, Jacob Aaron Estes and David Loucka, according to firstshowing.net

In an interview with CinemaCon, Paramaount Vice Chair Rob Moore hinted on a possible sequel for "Rings" if the movie becomes successful.
