First Look At Cogsworth and Lumiere In 'Beauty And The Beast' Live Action Remake

The remake of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ has been widely talked about mainly because it is not going to be the animation that we were used to but rather a live action.

They first released an exciting trailer with Emma Watson and Luke Evans starring as Belle and Gaston. But a lot has been curious as to how they are planning to create the non-human characters such as the famous duo candlestick Lumiere and clock Cogsworth.

It turns out that the fans need not wait too long as one of the co-producers, Jack Morrissey, has released several photos on his Facebook page last Friday.

The posted photos revealed a scene from one of Gaston’s musical number, first look at Dan Stevens as Prince Adam, and a photo of Lumiere and Cogsworth. If you liked how they look, do not celebrate much yet as Jack Morrissey mentioned, “These designs are close but may not be final...”

New images of the Live action Beauty and the Beast. There is a special look into the live action movie on the new signature collection Bluray of Beauty and the beast! It's hard to see a face for Lumiere but I think this is probably a caption right before he comes to life or there is a piece covering it or something. It seems like the little bits and pieces revealed about the live action remake has the fans more excited than ever to see the full cast.

Lumiere is played by Ewan McGregor while Cogsworth is played by Ian McKellen, which further adds up to the star-studded cast of the live action remake of ‘Beauty and the Beast’. Other beloved characters such as Mrs. Potts is played by Emma Thompson, Josh Gad as LeFou, and Kevin Kline as Belle’s father Maurice.

‘Beauty and the Beast’ was first released in 1991 and was the first animation film to be nominated for an Oscar Best Picture. It has grossed more than $355 at the global box office. According to Independent, Disney is hoping to get the same success that it’s other live action remakes such as Cinderella, Maleficent, and The Jungle Book has recently generated.

‘Beauty and the Beast’ live action remake will be released on March 17, 2017.
