Top grossing zombie film “Zombieland” gets the green light for its long due sequel and interestingly, original stars of the famous movie are slated to reprise their characters.

It’s been seven years until we finally heard the good news about “Zombieland’s” grand comeback in the big screens.

Writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, who contributes to the huge success of “Deadpool,” shares the excitement that the horror comedy sequel is already in the works.

Cinema Blend noted about the official statements of the duo who will also pen for “Zombieland 2.”

“That is breaking news that we're on Zombieland 2 right now. We're sitting with Woody [Harrelson] tomorrow and are going to sort of walk him through some of the stuff we want to do. All the cast is pretty excited.”

Having mentioned “all the cast,” we can expect Jesse Eisenberg, Abigail Breslin and Emma Stone in the new movie. Surely, fans are more than eager to watch their favorite cast once again and to be thrilled with the zombie apocalypse.

International Business Times noted that sometime in April, a promising logo for “Zombieland 2” was hinted in a presentation of impending titles given by Sony Pictures at Las Vegas' CinemaCon. We can never go wrong with our extended patience. Indeed, it was worth the wait.

Due to the success and popularity of “Zombieland” a tv series adaptation was supposed to be aired on CBS in 2012 but that didn’t materialize. However, the plans didn’t stop from there, as a follow up movie is already official and we can only send the entire cast and crew good vibes for another blockbuster hit .

There’s no definite date yet as to when “Zombieland 2” premieres in theaters but definitely, we will reunite with Tallahassee, Columbus, Wichita and Little Rock and it’s going to be fun crazy reunion.
