Fans are heartbroken when Juvia sacrificed her life for Gray to survive in "Fairy Tail" Chapter 499.

Both Juvia and Gray were forced to battle after Invel cast a spell on them. To Invel's surprise, the two were able to break off the spell when both Juvia and Gray sacrificed their lives for the other to live.

Juvia apparently is more successful in doing so as she was also able to cast a Blood Transfusion Magic spell that restores Gray's health to full and making him able to fight again. This selfless act, however, caused Juvia's tragic death.

And now for some "Fairy Tail 500: Fire and Ice" spoilers and predictions: 

There are theories that Juvia will be resurrected because Mashima [the creator] always finds a way to bring beloved characters back to life. Some fans believe that Wendy will heal the unconscious Juvia.

Other fans argue that Juvia is dead and Gray's anger over her death will cause the full awakening of his Devil Slayer Magic which his father passed to him.

Her death is deemed necessary because if he is to encounter END in the next chapters, he will have to be stronger than he currently is.  

Natsu on the other hand, will have some participation in the Invel versus Gray battle and that also means Brandish will finally let him go.

Meanwhile, there is going to be a not so peaceful encounter between Ezra and Irene. A lot of fans believe that these two characters are actually blood-relatives, so expect a flashback regarding their pasts and a dramatic revelation about their stories.

It is going to be a milestone chapter so expect a lot of exciting plot twists and revelations to come. It will for sure be an action packed chapter that fans won't soon forget.
