'Destiny: Rise of Iron' Receives 2.4 Update; Patch Notes Includes Most Prominent Exotic Weapon Change Happens! [FULL PATCH NOTES]

"Destiny: Rise of Iron" is set to receive new update 2.4 as the major weapon tuning change in the game with Bungie releasing comprehensive patch notes. Bungie has prepared a few tweaks that will improve the weapons in the game, making it more powerful in PvP or PvE while decreasing other weapon class' viability.

In "Destiny: Rise of Iron," Universal Remote and Thorn get the most prominent changes in exotic weapons with Thorn's effectiveness reduced by 25 percent to its base range regardless of the 'Send it' perk. Meanwhile, the range has been dropped for the Universal Remote while its rate of fire has increased.

Primary Weapons also get overhauled in "Destiny: Rise of Iron" with auto rifles expected to become more viable. Mid-tier pulse rifles may get a slight buff to damage, guns like Nirwen's Mercy have been nerfed in a previous update which caused it to become outclassed by increased firing pulses. With these changes, gamers who can control their bursts may get faster time to kill.

Secondary Weapons will also get tweaked in "Destiny: Rise of Iron". Bungie may be increasing flinch for sniper to make it more difficult to pull off an accurate shot while under fire, while mid-tier snipers may get their target acquisition turned down like the archetypes.  Shotguns will become more effective in PvE and the sidearm class will include new options in Destiny: Rise of Iron.

Heavy weapons like rocket launchers also get a onceover. Cluster Bombs will increase effectivity with a greater range but Horseshoes and Grenades' effectively will decrease. In "Destiny: Rise of Iron", machine guns will be able to do more damage.

"Destiny: Rise of Iron" is expected to be officially launched on Sept.20 as it celebrates its third year. The weapon changes are expected to appeal to Destiny players save some changes with snipers which may be received negatively. It remains to be seen what changes will be as meaningful as the notes suggest. Watch "Destiny: Rise of Iron" info about new Iron Banner weapons and armor!
