Best 4K TV For PS4 Pro Is 60 Inches At Least, According To Sony

Whether or not Sony has made a good move with regards to their PS4 Pro announcement a few days ago, it is inevitable for people to ask what size the 4K TV should be for 4K gaming with the PS4 Pro (although there are studies about this in the past but about PC 4K gaming - see video below).

On the down side, some people think that it is hard to convince everyone to just get the Sony PS4 Pro and start 4K gaming with the console, especially those who do not have 4K TVs yet. Shortly after the unveiling of the PS4 Pro, Sony posted an ultimate FAQ to entertain fan questions for the upcoming console.

Nonetheless, when plowing through the typical answers of how much the PS4 Pro would cost, release date et al., Sony has provided an answer in reply to what optimal size of 4K TV would potential PS4 Pro buyers get to fully enjoy 4K gaming. It turns out to be a really, really big screen, as reported by Twinfinite.

While the company does emphasize that really they can't:

"give official recommendations on TV size due to variables in room size, seating distance, and media type,"

...they still have an answer for those who are really looking for a specific size regardless of the above conditions and the answer is a wee bit extreme.

As the FAQ details would read:

"Unofficially, the staff of PlayStation.Blog has observed good results in average living rooms with 4K TVs sized 60″ and up. If you're in the market for a new 4K TV for PS4 Pro, we strongly recommend selecting a model with HDR10 compatibility, which will enable increased image vividness and contrast in HDR10-enabled games and movies."

Based on the statement above, the bigger your TV, the better if you adapt to 4K resolution. It is also stated that the minimum TV size on a standard average living room would be 60 inches in terms of screen diagonal width. With that said, for those who don't have 4K TV yet, it is best to invest on this size as it is being recommended to harness the full benefits of 4K gaming.

To give you an idea of what 4K gaming would look like with that monstrous TV size, here is a video about it:
