Despite the insistent public demand, teaser photos and various speculations, actress Sandra Oh has confirmed that she will not be coming back to "Grey's Anatomy" season 13.
Cristina Yang (Sandra Oh) has been one of the most beloved characters in the long-time running medical drama, Grey's Anatomy. Her exit during the series' 11th season has come as a surprise to the fans and led to their dismay also.

However, Yang was not killed off in the series. She was written out and said to have moved away and do her medical practice in a different hospital. This then leaves an open door for actress Sandra Oh to come back when the time is right, and when needed in the storyline.
The rumors of her coming back to the series all started when she posted a photo of her with on-screen partner in "Grey's Anatomy" Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd). The fans were then quick to assume that she is on set of the series, or merely teasing a possible comeback. Owen has now been recently married to someone else already, and Cristina coming back could add fuel to the fire burning up the marriage.

However, much to the fans dismay, Sandra Oh denied those rumors herself as she said during the Toronto Film Festival that she has no plans in returning to the series in the near future. Hopes and dreams of the fans of Cristina Yang were then again shattered.
More Of The Remaining Original Characters In Upcoming Season 13 Of The Series
Since there have been reports saying that the upcoming "Grey's Anatomy" season 13 will be giving more focus on the development of the lives of the original characters since the series premiered, the fans may see more of Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) slowly drifting apart from his relationship with Jo Wilson (Camilla Luddington).
More will be told on the lives of Meredith, Alex, Bailey and Richard Webber and how much their lives have changed in the last 13 years in the hospital. "Grey's Anatomy" Returns on September 22, 2016.
