Nexus 6 and LTE Nexus 9 Get Android Nougat Update

Android Nougat continues to roll out to Android smartphones, and the next ones that would get it is the Nexus 6 and the LTE Nexus 9. The Motorola Nexus 6 and HTC Nexus 9 are just some of the latest Android phones which will have the new Android OS.

Though both smartphones would be getting Android Nougat, there is still no exact date when the phones would be getting them. GSM Arena reports that the most Google would say is that both smartphones would be getting them in a few weeks. There are no details given about the announcement, though.

Many have been waiting for an explanation as to why Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 have not received Android Nougat earlier, though it doesn't seem as though there would be any explanation coming out soon. Nor has there been any other details given on the release of Android Nougat on both smartphones, which is as bare as any announcement would go, as GSM Arena notes.

There are those who have speculated that Android Nougat might not even come out to the Nexus 6, as Android Police says in its report. However, with the announcement at least people will have something to look forward to.

Both the Motorola Nexus 6 and HTC Nexus 9 have Android Lollipop as its OS. The HTC Nexus 9 could be upgraded to Android Marshmallow but the Motorola Nexus 6 would go directly to Android Nougat. Both smartphones are quite old, having been released back in November 2014.

Just like some of the Nexus line of smartphones, the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 could not be expanded by microSD so those who have it have its internal storage to store all the files. The Nexus 6 has either 32GB or 64GB storage and 3GB RAM while the Nexus 9 has 16GB or 32GB storage and 2GB RAM.
