Overwatch Competitive New Meta Play: Tank-Healer Composition Team

Overwatch Competitive Season Two Players are witnessing a new meta play. A number Overwatch teams are winning their matches by using a composition heavily dominated by tanks and healers.

Three Healer - Three Tank Composition

This is a team composition that many professional Overwatch players are using in the Competitive season two plays, according to Force Gaming. The team should have three tankers and three healers aboard although there can be some variations to these composition based on the map, opposing characters, level of players skill and other factors.

Overwatch Three Tanker- Three Healer Team Lineup

Tanker players will usually choose Overwatch characters such as Reinhardt, Zarya, Winston or even RoadHog. The healing players can select Ana, Lucio and Zenyatta. Other teams may replace a healing character with another tank or damage dealing (DPS) character.

What Makes Three Tanker-Three Healer Team Popular?

Overwatch players who use this three healer- three tank team comp said that it's a more effective fighting force than the standard Overwatch team comp of 2-2-2 (Two healers, tanks and DPS characters per team).

How Does This 3-3 Comp Work?

The three tank character such as Reinhardt will lead the charge. The opposing DPS characters will have a hard time to kill them since support healers like Ana will not only heal but give nano boost as well. Reinhardt may be a slow moving character but he can deal some heavy damages to opponents.

Zarya's tank capability is further boosted by her shield that also protects team members from enemy fire. She can also deal a decent amount of damage that is further increased by the damages absorbed by her personal shield. Zarya is one of the Overwatch characters that the opposing team must first take care of. That will be extremely difficult if Zarya gets healed and super buffed by three healing team mates.
