Darker Plot For "Rick And Morty" Season Three Reveals Backstory?

There have been speculations that Rick of "Rick and Morty" breaking the fourth wall which makes him more aware of his surroundings. In an encounter with Mr. Poopybutthole, reports have claimed that they may be the only ones to break the fourth wall after having encountered a series of near-death experiences.

This has led to the theories that both Rick and Mr. Poopybutthole may be aware that they are simply characters of Adult Swim and only exists for the mere reason of entertainment. After this, Rick will keep this knowledge to himself when the show "Rick and Morty" returns for season three. Thus, this has led to the speculations that when it was teased that the upcoming season could be a dark storyline, this is the reason for it.

As complicated as the storyline may get, it does feed to the assumptions of the upcoming storyline of "Rick and Morty" and what new adventures they will entail. 

Mr. Meeseeks Returns To The Series After Only Appearance In Season One

Reports have claimed that a character in the past seasons of the animated series will be returning when season three of "Rick and Morty" premieres; Mr. Meeseeks. His character only appeared during the first season of the show and the fans have reportedly adored his appearance. However, he hasn't returned since then. He will allegedly be making another appearance in the upcoming season, bringing more comedy to the show.

Although his return has not yet been confirmed, this theory has got the fans of the series all the more excited for "Rick and Morty" Season 3. There still hasn't been an official announcement for its premiere, and the fans will just have to wait for that to come to light.
