‘League of Legends’ News: Will It Be A Successful Overhaul For Riot Games?

Game developer and publisher Riot Games has been caught in a limbo during the start of September especially with regards to "League of Legends" Esports.

Riot Games needs a financial overhaul with their team revenue streams which has been tackled by the higher-ups in their department in open letter, as reported by Rift Herald.

A part of the letter mentions that they will be making a small change in the system for the World prize pool. This suggestion has long been raised by fans especially as a crowdfunding option has generated such praises from Dota players. Such a target would be economical in part with the "League of Legends" becoming more of a cutthroat game for players.

Based on recent interviews with the "League of Legends" fan base, merchandizing has generated a strong interest and a best option would be for Riot Games to work closely with all the teams in order to create good brands of material.

Other key points is to further strengthen the League of Legends fandom especially with media sponsorships are a vital part of the future. The vending of in-game content has always been an important part the economic plan for both teams and the league.

However, a more solid option directly which will be implemented by Riot Games is the starter in-game items plus more boost for the summoner icon program, which will generate a change in team profits.

These alterations in prize-giving as mentioned in the site will definitely affect Team SoloMid and those teams in the top of the "League of Legends" pedestal.

Is it also being questioned if merchandizing will create something beneficial to teams in the lower tier?

In related "League of Legends" news, Riot Games already kicked-off a splinter publicity via a board game of the popular multiplayer online battle arena video game which is dubbed as "Mechs vs. Minions," as reported by Game N Guide.
