Over the course of weeks, Clash of Clans fans have been anticipating the arrival of a massive update this month. However, September is nearing its end and Supercell has yet to unleash it. Obviously, this has made the community worried in one way or another. But does the recent server maintenance or upgrade mean something? Was it made solely for the reason to prepare the game for the upcoming patch?

According to The Bitbag, the studio has just announced a maintenance break for Clash of Clans servers -- specifically deemed as a "server upkeep." Basically, it means that the servers will be getting an upgrade from Supercell, suggesting a possibility of preparing it for the new update.

Add to that, as previously reported here at iTech Post, a Reddit user already predicted the arrival of the so-called Clash of Clans Sneak Peek. The latter refers to a preview of what the September update is all about. From features to fixes to new stuff, these will all be covered. It's also worth noting that the same guy predicted the leaked update for Clash Royale (also a game developed by Supercell), and voila, it turned out to be true.

The Redditor also pointed out that the Clash of Clans server has been upgraded to 8.41.x. And, in one way or another, it's a strong indication that somehow the new update has already been deployed. It's up to Supercell to make things official, though.

But of course, with the lack of communication from Clash of Clans developers, most fans are doubting the update's arrival this month. Or perhaps, that a possible delay could happen. Nevertheless, all hopes are there, and it's up to the video game company to make it a reality.
