Xbox gamers have some bad news to reckon with. As per the latest reports, Xbox LIVE is having sign-in issues and Microsoft has acknowledged the problem.

Microsoft, on their service status page, said users might encounter problems signing into Xbox Live from the console and the Web. And although the company had no specific details about what was causing the problems, they have urged users to "Hang in there! Xbox teams are investigating."

"We are aware of the issues some users are having with Xbox LIVE and are actively investigating. Thanks for your patience," Microsoft also tweeted from its @XboxSupport feed.

As far as the log-in problem is concerned, not all the members seem affected by it. According to a PCMag report, one Twitter user who could not access his account said his brother, who was in the same house, did not have a problem.

As soon as reports of problems cropped up, users took to Twitter to complain to the Xbox Support feed. Although, initially, the company suggested a variety of fixes – clearing browser cookies and re-starting the window, resetting the router and modem, or plugging the controller in with a charging cable – but they soon acknowledged that it was a sign-in problem.

Microsoft added that users might also be experiencing problems signing into Zune.net and the Zune marketplace.
