'The Exorcist' Series Premiere Spoilers And Review: Experience The Horror in 360 Degrees Angle

Fans are hooked on "The Exorcist" series as it premieres this weekend on Fox. It is considered by many as one of the scariest series they have ever watched. The show has even released a 360° angle shot of the next episode with the tagline "Are you brave enough to watch horror in 360°?"

Rotten Tomatoes gives a score of 65% to the series based on 31 reviews that have an average of 5.5/10 while Metacritic rates the show with 61/100 based on 25 reviews.

The series starts by giving its audience a background about the characters at the same time, the chills and horror expected from "The Exorcist" franchise. The episode starts with Father Tomas who is struggling with his big responsibilities in the church. Then Angela Rance asks for help as she claims a demonic presence in her house. Father Tomas has been having dreams about another priest doing an exorcism to a child that have been possessed by a terrifying demon in Mexico. 

The next episode is titled "Chapter 2: Lupus in Fabula" which is scheduled to air next Friday, 9:00 PM. Father Tomas requested permission to conduct an exorcism to Angela's daughter but was denied by the Bishop. Father Marcus, also introduced in the first episode, leaves Saint Aquinas and helps Father Tomas. Father Marcus sees Angela taking holy water so he gives her instruction how to properly use it. Meanwhile, a number of mysterious ritual killings are happening in Chicago. 

The Exorcist is a television series based on the horror movie of the same name. Its story is based on a novel by William Peter Blatty. The series stars Ben Daniels, Alfonso Herrera, and Geena Davis. The pilot is written by Jeremy Slater and described as "a propulsive, serialized psychological thriller following two very different men tackling one family's case of horrifying demonic possession, and confronting the face of true evil"
