Pokemon Go Devs Teases 'Exciting Features,' Is it Trading?

After the huge launch of "Pokemon GO" last July, the developers are offering new features that will give the game a whole new experience.

"Pokemon GO" is a huge success and it can't be denied. Pokemon CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara said that the reactions of gamers are 10 or 100 times bigger than what he has expected.  Addition to the warm welcome of the game was the selling of merchandise was doubled.

Niantic, "Pokemon GO's" developer, has updated the game for iOS and Android but there is nothing big with the updates.

"Pokemon GO" New Update Notes Hint at Exciting Features

"We appreciate your continued support," the devs wrote at the end of the new update notes at their website. They added that they "have some exciting features and changes coming soon."

While it was not specified what these are, many are thinking that they might be referring to the Trading feature that has already been confirmed by Niantic boss John Hanke back in July. Furthermore, the increasing number of leaks regarding the feature corroborates the speculations.

A few details in the code, which Pokemon GO Hub found, unveiled new information about what might the Trading feature bring. First off, it seems that players will be able to perform new actions such as, search, create, cancel and complete.

Perhaps, the most notable detail is that the code currently supports trading Pokemon only and not items. It is unknown if this will be updated to include in-game items as well.

New Features in the Latest "Pokemon GO" Update

Meanwhile, the latest "Pokemon GO" update can now be downloaded on iOS and Android. Apart from minor bug fixes, there is also a new feature called Capture Location, in which "the location where a Pokémon was caught will now be displayed on their information screen."

It also adds an update for the Pokemon GO Plus wearable. Users of the accessory can now catch Pokemon lured by an Incense.

"Pokemon GO" is available currently in its latest version, 1.9.0 for iOS and 0.39.0 for Android.
