‘Marco Polo’ Season 3 Cancelled By Netflix? Benedict Wong To Star In A New Series?

Is John Fusco’s “Marco Polo” loud silence already an answer to its controversial renewal?  Despite cancellation claims and departure of its main star, the series' latest season remains a confusing picture to everyone.

Is “Marco Polo” Season 3 In The Works?
The fans of the historical drama have been waiting for a third installment to come into fruition. Numerous speculations stirred headlines since the cast and showrunners have not yet released any details about the impending season.

A report recently noted that the series’ original network, Netflix, is likely to cancel the show. Although the giant streaming company has not voiced out its opinion on the issue, its being hushed was interpreted by the press and the show’s followers as a sign that it has already killed the show.

One theory linked to the popular drama is its pricey budget. It is said to be one of the most expensive shows of Netflix and that the business has been having a difficult time maintaining the needs and demands of the grand production and the fees of its high caliber cast and crew.

However, Fusco’s recent tweets are likened to hint that “Marco Polo” season 3 may get its green light in the soonest time possible.

Did Benedict Wong Leave The Series For A New One?

Another controversy that dragged the series to cancellation reports is Benedict Wong’s departure in the show. The actor was presumed having difficulties in juggling his tv show and other big projects due this year.

Despite Wong’s confirmation that he will pursue his Kublai Khan role, rumors have it that the production of “Marco Polo’s” upcoming season may be delayed or that the show has to end abruptly due to his busy schedule.

While no official statements are release yet by the network, the show’s creator and the cast members, it is safe to stay positive that viewers could still reunite with the legendary tales of Marco Polo and Kubla Khan.
