Amazon's Twitch Prime will Replace Twitch Turbo

Amazon got bigger with the addition of Twitch. A coupld of years following the acquisition, the subscriptions to Twitch Turbo are no longer available since it will be linked with Amazon's Prime and will now be called Twitch Prime.

According to USA Today, Twitch is the world's leading video and game-streaming platform. To recall, Amazon acquired the video and game platform two years ago for $1 billion.

Amazon Twitch Prime Benefits

Amazon just announced that ad-free Twitch subscriptions are some of the privileges the subscribers will get if they switch to Prime aside from a full access to Amazon Prime. The customers have the right to decide if they will cancel or will continue with their former subscription, as per Kotaku.

Twitch Prime also offers a 30-day trial for free. After the trial period, users will have to pay $10.99 monthly or $99 yearly. They can then use all of the features offered by Amazon Prime such as free shipping of products and access to video and music services.

Also, Amazon Prime offers 20 percent off with a pre-order of any games if the buyer is also a member.

Amazon Twitch Prime vs YouTube Red

Twitch Prime can be compared to YouTube Red. It offers a different game content per month, such as Indie titles and downloadable content (DLC). Another perk of the subscribers is that they can avail discounts on new games sold by Amazon in pre-order phase or the first two weeks of the launch as Android Police has explained.

Twitch CEO Emmett Shear announced the latest product on TwitchCon, stating that "Our goal for Twitch Prime is to make this undeniably the best deal for gamers online."

"We would like to get it to the point where, to crib (Amazon founder and CEO) Jeff Bezos here, you are almost irresponsible if you are not a Twitch Prime subscriber," he added.

Amazon Twitch Prime aims to bring uploading service to its users and step up their game from live-streaming. Consumers can expect a "much better broadcast experience." Those who are already subscribed to Amazon Prime can link their accounts here.
