‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ Season 8 Latest Updates: Series Takes A Break; Nell Joins Team In The Field As Kensi Fights For Her Life

‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ Season 8 is currently off air due to its two-week hiatus but avid supporters of the show are not taking a break with the highly anticipated spoilers of the upcoming fourth episode.

The previous episode was beyond big heartbreaking reveals following Corbin Duggan’s new leadership as Under Secretary of Defense leaving Hetty seemingly concerned with her departure. In addition, Kensi got severely injured while their team is on a high –profile mission in Syria.

As teased by LL Cool J who plays Agent Hanna in the series, “#Somebody’s got to die”, “#Somebody’s got to go, you know?”, “#Changes” and “#You need to watch” hashtags are eventually coming into fruition.

Viewers of the crime drama will have to brave more of the thrilling scenes that are yet to be shown.

"NCIS: LA" season 8 episode 4 titled "Black Market" highlights Intelligence Analyst Nell Jones (Renee Felice Smith) as she joins the team in the field making her a potential replacement for Kensi. Nell’s dream of becoming a special agent is unfolding. The past episodes showed her interest in the said role with her proficiency in firearms and nabbing the title of “The highest IQ at NCIS.”

While Nell joins the squad in an aggressive operation, Kensi is battling with her life after the tragic accident that puts her life in danger. Derek finally proposed marriage to her unconscious state in the hospital with the hope of getting her back in the real world alive and better but failed.

Considering that Daniela Ruah (Kensi) is on maternity leave, her present condition in the series, as well as Nell’s taking over her slot, could be strategic ways that the showrunner had to apply so as to accommodate Ruah’s sensitive situation and to maintain the excitement and action in the show.

‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ Season 8 returns to CBS on October 16.
