‘Making A Murderer’s’ Steven Avery Splits With ‘Gold Digger’ Fiancée

It’s over for Steven Avery and Lynn Hartman. After eight months of dating and a week – long engagement, the subject of Netflix’s documentary series ended his relationship with the former legal assistant.

E! News reported that Avery dumped his new fiancée after finding out that she’s a gold digger and stays only in the relationship for money.

The news was confirmed by Sandra Greenman, Avery’s ex-fiancée.

"I have a statement that I need passed around to groups. Steve called me two times tonight and wants everyone to know that Lynn and him are done. She has been in this relationship for money and publicity. His eyes are finally opened!!!," Greenman wrote on Facebook.

Greenman emphasized that Hartman is seeking popularity and wants to earn more out of her relationship with Avery.

"Lynn received at least $5000 from Dr. Phil, and he thinks more. She got another $1000 for doing other shows. She also wanted to be on as many as possible."

A recent report mentioned that the love story of the former couple was scheduled to be featured on the show “Dr. Phil” with Avery on the phone while the host interviews Hartmann on set.

Both Avery and Hartman planned to get married as quickly as possible after his release from jail and have only sweet messages for each other.

"I am very happy to announce that Steven Avery asked me to marry him today, and I accepted it,” Hartman disclosed their engagement via social media.

Avery couldn’t be more ecstatic with the new feeling that their romance brought them and said their love is “different.”

While both parties are yet to release their official statements about the issue, “Making a Murderer’s” Avery is hopeful that his case will be overturned just as with nephew Brendan Dassey’s. Both were convicted of rape and murder of photographer Teresa Halbach.
