Overwatch Update: Blizzard Confirms New Overwatch Heroes & Maps – Sombra Confirm At 2016 Blizzcon?

Overwatch players recently got an update from Blizzard about upcoming new heroes and maps. The update seems to bolster the rumor that Sombra will be introduced in the 2106 Blizzcon event.

Overwatch Game Director's Update

Overwatch game director Jeff Kaplan gave a number of new updates for the game on October 5. He started by saying that some of the changes and additions to the Overwatch game may take some time. He talked about several Overwatch characters like Symmetra and what they intend to do about them. Many players have been complaining that certain heroes are underpowered compared to other heroes in the game.

Jeff Kaplan did confirm that a new Overwatch hero is coming soon. The upcoming character is undergoing internal testing as of press time. The game director is possibly hinting about Sombra and her possible reveal in the upcoming 2016 Blizzcon event which will be held on November 4. If this is true, what could possibly be revealed on October 16 or 17 when the amomentincrime.com site's countdown reaches 100 percent?

He also mentioned that a second upcoming Overwatch hero is also being developed. However, the prospective 24th hero will only be available next year.

New Overwatch Maps and Game Mode

The Overwatch game director also mentioned that they are working on a number of maps for the game. One of the maps is nearly ready for release while the rest are still in the early stages of developments. The upcoming will be used for a current game mode.

Kaplan also mentioned working on another map also currently being developed for a new game mode.He also cautioned that some of the things he announced may or may not take place. But the announcement of an upcoming hero (most likely Sombra) and new map is certain to happen this year.
