Wasteland 3 Raised $2.75 Million In Just 3 Days

InXile made sure that their crowdfunding campaign hits their goal; which is $3 million and recently, Wasteland 3 was able to raise and meet its crowdfunding goal and raised $2.75 million in just 3 days. Approximately $2.1 million of that came from investments and the rest was from reward backer funding.

The crowdfunding campaign started earlier this week, not so long before the Wasteland 3 was announced. The successful crowdfunding wasn't really a surprise because of the fact that Wasteland 2 was able to raise more than what they were aiming for; during those times inXile aimed only for $900,000 and raised an amount of $2.9 million.

"Without you, we would simply not be able to maintain our independence and keep fully true to our visions for great RPGs that you love. We also cannot fail to mention those who have chosen to invest in the financial performance of the game--their contributions have also been invaluable. Your trust and support means the world to us. So kick back, put your red boots up, and have some squeezins to celebrate." Said by InXile Entertainment CEO, Brian Fargo

Fargo also stated that Wasteland 3 is currently representing the most ambitious title that they have crowdfunded so far and that they wouldn't be able to reach their goal without the fans, backers, and investors carrying the torch. He also stated that the only way he could repay and thank them enough is to release the best role-playing game as possible.

There is still 26 days of the campaign left and meeting the goal had made inXile come to a conclusion and revealed three stretch goals extending the goal to $3.1 million.  The stretch goals were described as the following:

If the crowdfund reaches $2.85 million, the game will be unlocking Ranger customization which means more body types, more heads, and more hairstyles. They will also show what the Ranger has equipped himself with, such as shovels; et cetera. meanwhile, if the fund hits $3 million, they will also add a talking car companion; and lastly, if the fund reaches $3.1 million, they will allow players to customize Ranger Squad insignia for the player's team.

Since there is still a lot of time left before the campaign ends, InXile still allows fans to back the project up through PayPal; which can be done in the CrowdOx page on the game.
