New John Wick VR Game Announced For HTC Vive Via Steam, Available For Pre-Order

Everyone has probably fantasized being John Wick after Keanu Reeves pulled off the first movie as a success back in 2014. With today's awesome technology with the VR, you can now certainly be John Wick, doing those gun moves, martial arts, and sporting that lovely tux. John Wick Chronicles is definitely coming as a new virtual reality (VR) video game for HTC Vive by Starbreeze Studios - creators of Chronicles of Riddick.

Come to think of it, now that VR is out for everyone to purchase and play on, it really is an opportunity to experience almost everything, including being John Wick. The game is set to roll out around the same date as John Wick: Chapter 2 via the gaming platform, Steam.

Tim from Geek tried out a demo for John Wick Chronicles: An Eye for an Eye and posted his thoughts about it. It was his first time to try VR and it was an honor to be 'Baba Yaga' even for a few minutes. He reports that playing games using the HTC Vive is an awesome experience. After some preps like strapping something into something, a big John Wick logo appears, a few seconds later, handguns were introduced and are controlled by the Vive controllers.

One of the game's settings is in a familiar hotel from the first movie. Lance Reddick reportedly guides the player into the game. Part of the game is also a promotion for John Wick: Chapter 2 where the movie's trailer is being played in-game. Tim says it's a good synergy for both game and movie. Along with the VR experience, you also get to see some cross-promotions from other games in a form of Easter eggs or puzzles.
