Blizzard Starcraft 2 has managed to inspire some funny but delightful mods in the arcade game. One such game is the CarBot StarCrafts Mod.

CarbotAnimations first launch its Starcraft parody animated cartoons on August 2012 in YouTube. But Carbot StarCrafts mod creator Jonathan Burton wants to expand it by having a full-fledged CarBots Starcraft mod game.

He launched a crowd funding campaign in Indiegogo and managed to collect an amount more than enough to finance the project. Finally, the CarBots Starcraft mod is finished and is now available for download.

The CarBots StarCrafts mod game is loosely based on the Starcraft II series. It is not meant to be taken seriously but it has offered a different perspective on how to play the game. The developer team was composed of six people and the project took more than a year to complete.

Burton was asked if Blizzard also contributed financially to the project. However, he did not answer the question directly and simply said that the support of the crowd funding community sustained them. Some features in the mod game include the "Throwing Cheese" and "Flag of Triumph" sections. The cheese throwing section will enable all game characters to throw the cheese for the first five minutes. The second feature enables players to raise the Flag of Triumph with each successful expansion.

CarBots StarCrafts Mod Game - Where & How to Download

Oddly enough, the Starcraft parody game is available for download in Blizzard's Battlenet site. Once in the official website, click on StarCraft II and then click on the Arcade tab. A page will appear featuring a link for the CarBots StarCrafts mod game. However, it will require the StarCraft II game or at least a StarCraft II game installer to play it in arcade mode. A cinematic opening of the game is available for public viewing here.
