'Criminal Minds' Season 12 Halloween Episode: Creepy Unsub Kills Seven People; Still No Mention Of Aaron Hotchner And His Exit

CBS "Criminal Minds" season 12 is already on its way to episode four and the cases just keep getting more intense. With Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster) back in the BAU and Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson) gone, find out what is in store for the team in the next episode.

Emily Prentiss Officially Joins The BAU Again In Replacement Of Hotchner's Absence

The upcoming episode four of "Criminal Minds" season 12 won't be released next week as anticipated by the fans. The production will have one week break to air the next episode in time for Halloween. Based on the official promo released for the next episode, it looks like the story best fits the theme of the holidays.

It can be recalled that Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster) is already back in the last episode of "Criminal Minds" season 12. As explained, she is there to temporarily replace Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson) while the latter was given a temporary assignment. However, the fans all know that Hotchner will no longer be coming back, thus resulting to Emily staying with the BAU permanently.

Thomas Gibson's Exit To Be Addressed Soon; Absence Allegedly Temporary For Now

Gibson's exit as Hotchner was not properly addressed much to fans dismay. Although everyone already knows that he has been fired from the show, they still believe that he deserves a proper goodbye given that he has been there from the start of the series. The network assured the viewers that his absence will be addressed and given justice at the right time. They may have to wait a little longer for that since it is likely that it won't happen soon.

Halloween Episode Of "Criminal Minds" Season 12 As Creepy And Disturbing As It Can Be

As for the upcoming Halloween episode of "Criminal Minds" season 12, the initial promo released indicated that the BAU will be dealing with an "Unsub" who hides in the woods. However, they will be pressured into locating this serial killer as he/she has already killed seven people, and the team will try to stop him/her for killing more. The killer is just as creepy as the time the episode will be aired, which is going to be on Halloween.

"Criminal Minds" season 12 will air on October 26.
