Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 News: Bandai Blames Sony For Server Snafu? Goku Black Coming To Game

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 players could not access the game's servers during the open beta play. Bandai insists that its servers are operating fine which is a subtle hint that Sony's servers are the one at fault.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Open Beta Server Snafu

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 beta play hit a very big snag as many players were unsuccessful in even accessing the game's servers. The problem has become so widespread that game developer Bandai Namco extended the beta play for another day. The PS4 players can play the beta version until October 18 at 9AM BST or 10AM CEST.

Unfortunately, the beta client is no longer downloadable, according to pushsquare. PS4 players who have downloaded the game earlier are probably the lucky ones who can play the game. This Bandai move is seen as a way to placate players who were not able to join the beta play due to the server issues.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Game Hosted By Bandai & Sony

The Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Open Beta Play is hosted by two separate servers. Sony is in charge of the Conton City server while Bandai is in charge of the online battle server, according to The Bitbag. The game developer announced that its servers are functioning smoothly. The company did not say it directly but the statement strongly hints that the problem lies with the Sony servers. Unfortunately, this does not help eager players gain access to the beta game version.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 - Goku Black Confirmed

Bandai also recently released a promo video showcasing Goku Black as a playable character. However, Goku's evil twin will only be given to players who pre-ordered the upcoming Dragon Ball game. Goku Black is now the latest and 68th playable character in the second installment of the DB Xenoverse series. Players can also create customized playable characters of their own.
