Welcome To The Scariest Places On Earth

Halloween won't be complete without counting down the scariest places on earth. We will try to narrow down the list and this will not be in order.

Are you fond of experiencing paranormal activities? Are you afraid of the dark? Do you have what it takes to stay in a haunted place alone? Today, I will list some of the scariest place on earth that people don't dare to visit specially during night time.

Chapel Bones In Portugal

As the name implies, this Chapel is not your ordinary place when you want to pray and worship God. The Chapel Bones in Portugal is literally covered up with bones from 5000 monks and they have two hanging bodies in a rope, one is a child.

Suicide Forest In Japan

Japan is one of the most beautiful country in the world due to its culture and diversity. But there is one place that terrifies almost all Japanese, the Aokigahara Forest. Tagged as the Suicide Forest in Japan, this forest already have 500 people who committed suicide for unknown reasons. Japanese officials were alarmed even put a signage on the entrance of the forest that states "Your life is a precious gift from your parents," and "Please consult with the police before you decide to die."

St. George's Church in the Czech Republic

This church in Czech Republic was abandoned after part of the roof collapsed during a funeral service in 1968. There are a lot of ghostly encounters and stories about this medieval church. The ghost sculptures added by artist Jakub Hadrava may keep the church running by bringing in tourist dollars, but also make it just a bit more terrifying.

The Catacombs in Paris

I really don't understand what's with the medieval period about using bones as their decoration. In Paris, there is a place where you can visit a 200 mile long underground pathways that is entirely made out of bones. Historians said that this bones are from over 6 million bodies who died in a war.

 Plague Island in Italy

When you think of Italy, you think of good food and romantic sceneries. But the most iconic tourist spot in Italy is none other than the Plague Island. Poveglia is a small island near Venice that was used as a quarantine for almost 160,000 people infected with plague from 1793 to 1814. Napoleon Bonaparte also used it to store weapons during the war. From 1922 to 1968 it was converted as a mental hospital and on that same time, a certain doctor was allegedly the brain of the mass murder of all its patients.

Snake Island in Brazil

Ophidiophobia the abnormal fear of snakes. Fear of snakes is sometimes called by a more general term, herpetophobia, fear of reptiles and/or amphibians. So if you have this fear or basically you don't want to be frightened, don't go to this island. The ever popular island called Snake Island in Brazil is not for the wicked heart. While most of the places on the list are scary because of paranormal activity and things we don't see, Snake Island will scare you because over a million venomous snakes is actually living there.
