Pokemon GO Generation 2 Update Needs To Feature Player Versus Player Battles

Months after the release of Pokemon GO, users are nagging Niantic to add more features to the game. Most notable among the requests is the player-versus-player battles.

The Pokemon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara in a report by Game Rant offered an update for fans that may possibly include the anticipated player-versus-player mode.

What Happens During Player-to-Player Battle?

The Player Versus Player (PVP) feature allows Pokemon trainers to battle directly with other users. Even without going to a gym, players can cross paths anywhere and duel to gain experience points (XP) and level up.

Although the feature might raise the interest of many fans, an official confirmation is yet to happen. However, aside from PVP, gamers also have been waiting for the ability to trade Pokemon and an endgame.

Pokemon GO Trading and EndGame

Recent news online has been reporting the decline of Pokemon GO users this month. The reason may be mainly due to a lack of a serious endgame including other features. Forbes explained why the Pokemon Go needs an endgame.

Per publication, once a player acquires more than 100 Pokemon, things begin to slow down. At this certain point, the Pokemon needed to boost the player's stats can be hardly found. A similar case would be leveling up. When a trainer hits level 20-25, the game eventually slows to a crawl as the avatar progresses in experience.

The trading allows players to trade-in their desired Pokemon in return for another one. Additionally, this feature still doesn't have a solid release date like the others.

Other Things To Know About Pokemon GO

Last month, Pokémon GP lost 15 million users due to features that need ironing out. With the anticipated Generation 2 update along with Pokemon Go Plus, Niantic and Nintendo hope to gain a massive customer base that would eventually exceed their expectations.
