Pokemon Sun And Moon Update: Mimikyu Details Revealed

The Pokemon Company has recently released a video footage highlighting a new Pokemon called Mimikyu. The video was in a form of a rap video in preparation for the new Pokemon's arrival. Apparently, most of the fans are wondering on the identity of this mysterious Pokemon. Thankfully, fans will not wait for long as details regarding Mimikyu were recently released by the company.

According to the report from Otakukart, Mimikyu is a lonely Pokemon. At first glance, you could see similarities between Mimikyu and Pikachu based on the appearance. Apparently, this is not a coincidence as Mimikyu is trying to be Pikachu. Unlike Mimikyu, Pikachu is loved by most of the trainers and has a lot of friends. Mimikyu just wants to feel the same way. So, it disguises itself as Pikachu. However, one of Mimikyu's concerns is that it hates sunlight, probably since it is categorized as a ghost type Pokemon.

In addition, Mimikyu is also listed as a fairy type Pokemon which might be the primary reason why it has a strong desire to be loved. Due to its fear of sunlight, the said Pokemon spends most of its time hiding in the dark causing fear to the local people of Alola. In fact, there is a local superstition that a mysterious illness will struck you whenever you see the Pokemon's true form.

Mimikyu has a very sad story. Listening to the rap song gives the impression that the Pokemon is being hopeful and positive despite of the negativities that surround it. In reality, Mimikyu represents several Pokemon species which were not given that much attention compared to the kind of what Pikachu receives. It might be kind of sad, however, it is an inevitable situation since Pikachu captures the heart of the trainers since day one. Meanwhile, it seems like the Japanese Pokemon Company is not yet done revealing the full details about the new Pokemon. So stay tuned for more Pokemon Sun and Moon updates.
