Skyrim Dragonborn DLC Detailed

Bethesda has more to share on the new Dragonborn DLC front for the popular “Skyrim.” The company has also issued a host of details about the upcoming DLC.

The new DLC for the game features quite a few ‘Morrowind’ elements, and is hugely anticipated by the “Skyrim” fans. Gamers will now get to travel off the coast of Morrowind, to the island of Solstheim and will come across new places, prisons, and missions, as they navigate the ash wastes and glacial valleys of this new land.

“With this official add-on for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, journey off the coast of Morrowind, to the island of Solstheim. Encounter new towns, dungeons, and quests, as you traverse the ash wastes and glacial valleys of this new land,” reads the official page. "Become more powerful with shouts that bend the will of your enemies and even tame dragons. Your fate, and the fate of Solstheim, hangs in the balance as you face off against your deadliest adversary – the first Dragonborn.”

The new DLC's details are as follows:

Explore Beyond Skyrim – Gamers get to leave the province of Skyrim and travel to the coastal island of Solstheim. There they will encounter the Dark Elven settlers of Raven Rock and the native Skaal, as they unravel the mystery of a Dragonborn’s return.

Become the Ultimate Dragonborn – Players will need to control the power of the Voice as they face off against the first Dragonborn. The option to exercise new shouts and spells, including Dragon Aspect that will allow players to summon the inner power of a dragon to deliver massive blows and strengthen other shouts, is available.

Brand New Powers – Fans will now discover dark powers as they journey into a new Daedric realm. Players can collect books of forbidden knowledge and choose new paths for their skills and abilities.

New dungeons, creatures, weapons, and more – This is the chance for players to suit up in Bonemold and Chitin armors and wield Stalhrim weapons as they navigate through a innumerable dungeons. What’s more, the DLC will allow gamers to battle formidable foes like Ash Spawn, Rieklings, and more.

The “Skyrim” Dragonborn DLC is set to be available for 1600 MSP and will be released on Dec. 4 on Xbox 360. The PlayStation 3 and PC versions of the DLC will most probably come at a later date.
