Another Note Enters The Market, But It's Not From Samsung: Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Is Here

Xiaomi's recently unveiled Mi Note 2 has become most notable for its Note 7 feels. It could have been just another Xiaomi device, but the recent Note 7 controversy has been so popular that it had the Mi Note 2 associated with the ill-fated phablet. Needless to say, it's probably good for Galaxy Note fans to know that yet another Note 7 replacement has presented itself.

Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Specs

The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 specs sheet includes a 5.7 inch OLED screen, 23 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front camera. The phone carries a Snapdragon 821 processor, up to 6 GB RAM and a massive 4000 mAh battery. According to The Verge, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 could start at $413 for its lower variant (4GB RAM) and it could go up to $516 for its 6GB RAM model. As per GSM Arena, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will be released sometime November and will come in three color variants of black, gold and silver.

Affordable Androids As Galaxy Note 7 Replacements

The arrival of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 brings in the idea that there are quite a number of affordable but powerful Androids that are perfect to replace the Galaxy Note 7. Buyers of the said unsuccessful phablet have been vocal online about their disappointment regarding the phone discontinuation. This opens the discussions of which phones are legit replacements for the said Samsung device.

While most people would suggest high-priced premium phones like the LG V20 and Galaxy S7 Edge, there are also people who appreciate low-priced but powerful devices like the OnePlus 3 and the newly announced Xiaomi Mi Note 2. It's worth noting that most premium phones are priced over $700 while these powerful and affordable Androids don't go near that price range. The OnePlus 3 with impeccable specs only has a $399 tag and the Xiaomi Note 2 as mentioned is similarly priced.
