Pokemon GO Halloween Spectacle: New Egg Hatching Feature, More Candy Rewards And 'Spooky' Pokemon Until November

Halloween is fast approaching and Pokémon GO is taking a surprising twist to celebrate the Halloween season. Looks like the game offers the best trick or treat experience to its avid gamers.

Starting today, Oct. 26, Pokémon GO will give away more candy rewards from catching, hatching and transferring a Pokémon. You might want to invite your buddies for a catching spree to get your fill of candy during the special event.

Spooky Pokemon Make An Appearance At Pokémon Go

There will be seven Pokémon ghosts hiding in dark places waiting to attack you. These Pokemon will be on the hunt to creep around in Pokemon GO until Nov. 1.

Zubat, Golbat, Gastly, Haunter, Grengar, Drowzee and Hypno will be making an appearance to make your Halloween spookier than ever. Although they're not hard to battle with, just be careful as there may be plenty of them lurking around delaying your Pokemon catching experience.

While the spooky Pokemon as mentioned above are common, it could also provide you a chance to build up your medals and improve your catch bonuses especially for the Psychic, Poison and Ghost types.

Walk With Your Buddy Pokémon For More Rewards

For Pokemon GO returning players, there might be more motivation to play the game with new treats in store. Halloween will never be better than walking with your buddy Pokemon as you'll receive four times as much as the amount of candy normally given.

Even when you encounter a spooky Pokemon you don't want to come across with, the 4x Buddy Pokemon drop might help you evolve your Pokemon into a Rare one. The system is carefully designed so you only have to catch a single Pokemon in order to level it up.

Pokemon Go Newest Feature Update

Over the weekend, cool egg features were added to Pokemon GO. The egg patterns now vary depending on the distance necessary to hatch them. Also something to watch out for is the Pokemon type icons that display the character information in the screen and low battery indicator for the Bluetooth based Pokemon Go Plus Accessory.

Pokémon User's Drastic Decline

Though you may not have a problem with the game, most users do and it is probably the reason why a huge amount of following decreased over the past few months. The first trailer of Pokemon GO released over a year ago suggested the possibility of an interactive Pokemon catching experience unlike no other.

According to some gamers, the absence of new features and the difficulty of leveling up all contribute to the decline.

Will The Halloween Treats Bring Back The Lost Pokémon Users?

With all these lined up for the Halloween Season, will Niantic bring back its lost users?  I say for players who dropped out before the earlier problems stemmed off, it may take more than a Halloween event to lure them back in to Pokemon GO.
