According to an article written at GMA Network, the writer of the article did a performance test for the Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime. The writer is said to be a photographer, so in a way, his opinions may be accepted as unbiased.

In the first test, he tested how well Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime can withstand lag. He opened a lot of apps (about 15 or more) to check if the phone will slow down. In his surprise, it did not show any significant signs of slowing down or freezing.

Next test the writer did was to check the camera quality. Though the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime is only sporting a 13 megapixel back camera and a 5 megapixel front camera, compare to the 23 megapixel back camera and 13 megapixel front camera of the Sony Xperia XZ, it can still hold a candle in term of picture quality.

The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime has many gimmicks for its users. One great example is the "Beauty" feature. In this mode, the phone smoothens out whatever wrinkles or blemishes you may have without being so obvious that it was photoshopped. Basically, you don't need to search for any apps in the net that can help you with your pictures for social media sites, because Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime's "Beauty" feature already has that covered.

Next is the picture quality when taking pictures in dark places or angles with less light. Though the Sony Xperia X7's back camera excels in this category, you will find only a slight difference in picture quality between the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime and Sony Xperia XZ.

And lastly is the capturing of moving objects. In this test, Sony's Xperia XZ won hands down. Sadly, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime could not deliver in this.
