Pokemon Go Halloween Event Update: How To Earn Bigger Exp

Pokemon Go's first-ever Halloween event has just recently gone live. As reported, it will give trainers double amount of candy while catching and transferring Pokemon. In addition, players will be able to catch their favorite ghost type Pokemon in the wild during the event. Currently, it was discovered that the on-going Halloween event is a great avenue for trainers who wants to level up quickly. A post has been seen on the internet on how to earn bigger XP via the Halloween strategy.

According to the report from Otakukart, the Halloween strategy on Pokemon Go is basically relying on the Pidgey Mass Evolution. For those who are unfamiliar, Mass evolution of Pidgey means you will catch a bunch of Pidgey and later on evolve them all using the Lucky Egg. While activating the Lucky Egg, the amount of XP received while doing various in-game XP gathering activities is now doubled.

Now is the great time to perform massive XP gathering since Pokemon Go Halloween event will grant you an extra Pokemon candy that is essential for the evolution. Additionally, the animation time of evolution is now decreased which means that more Pokemon will be evolved. Before, players are required to catch 3 Pidgeys and transfer all three for one evolution. However, the same results will be granted to the players now. The only difference is that players will just be catching 2 Pidgeys without the need of transferring.

For a quick reference, with the event applied catching 50 Pidgeys without transferring will allow you to evolve 25 times. This will grant you 25,000 XP. If you want to acquire more XP, it was suggested that you will need to capture more Pidgey.

The Halloween event has caused Gastly to be a common spawn probably more common than Pidgey. Hence, substituting Pidgey with Gastly is not a big deal. It will still grant you the same results. The first ever event of Pokemon Go is definitely a blast. Hopefully, Niantic will also consider hosting another event this upcoming Christmas season.
