Game developer Atlus released via their official YouTube channel an introductory teaser video for Ann Takamaki, one of the main characters in their upcoming release of the English Version of Persona 5. The video showcases Ann's Character Model, backstory and samples of her English Dialogues. Atlus also released a separate video interview with her English voice actress Erika Harlacher.
Ann Takamaki's Character Profile
In Atlus' official press release, it described Ann Takamaki as "Persona 5's Rose With Thorns." Ann is described as the "the center of school gossip" who is "plagued by unjust rumors from her peers on a daily basis." It is implied in the report that the rumor is due to an "excessively friendly" gym teacher's attraction to her. After awakening her powers, she founded the Phantom Thieves along with the Protagonist in order to correct the false rumors and take revenge to the teacher, and to let loose from their suppressive worlds.
The trailer also showcased her model for both the animated scenes and the in-game version. Her alternate costume when she's with the Phantom Thieves, a red devil-like outfit, was shown in the video. Her persona Carmen, from the lovers arcana, was also in the video.
Ann Takamaki's Voice Actress
Atlus' localization works and dubbings as incredible and cherished, and Ann's English Voice actress will not disappoint to the tradition. In a video interview with Atlus, she was asked about Ann's morale, since being a member of the Phantom Thieves meant that she was "not one of the most upstanding citizens of the world." To this, she replied that "she is a really good person, deep down, if you actually get to know her." She also shared her experiences during voice acting and sampled some of her lines for the game.
Many years have passed before Persona 4 had a sequel. Persona 5 has been recently rated for the American Version, but the localized version is still under development. The English Version for the Persona 5 will be launched on Feb. 14 next year for North America and Europe.
