The huge comeback of "Prison Break" for season five has been one of the most anticipated returns on television. Seven years after the fans thought the series has already concluded, Michael and Lincoln returns once more.

Upcoming "Prison Break" Season 5 To Only Consist Of 9 Episodes

The comeback of "Prison Break" has been requested by the fans for so many years now and after seven years of waiting, it has finally seen the light of day. There have been many television shows that ended abruptly back in the day and that the viewers claim that they want closure from the storyline. Hence, here comes "Prison Break" returning to end just how it was supposed to end. However, it is a special series return as it will only contain nine episodes.

As for the storyline, there is not much that the trailer has presented to its viewers. However, it shows Michael alive but unwell inside a prison cell in Yemen. This explains his absence from everyone else in his life since he has been rotting miserably in another country. Since Michael did everything that he could to save his brother Lincoln from jail back from the first season, it will now be the latter's turn to help out his younger brother. Rumor has it that Lincoln will now be the one to study the prison in Yemen that holds Michael, and bring him out of there.

Lincoln To Die While Saving Michael In Upcoming "Prison Break" Season 5?

There have been reports claiming that it is possible that Lincoln will sacrifice his own life to save his brother's. Thus, he is speculated to die in the upcoming fifth installment of "Prison Break" as he tries to get Michael out of jail, with the help of their friends. Others may not believe this with a full heart since they did not just bring the series back just to kill off a main character. Also, when Wentworth Miller was asked about the possibility of a sixth season, he says that it is definitely possible as long as there is still a story to tell to the audience.

"Prison Break" season five is expected to return on Spring of 2017.
