"Seven Deadly Sins" Chapter 197 Recap

The chapter started with Howzer preparing for his knight duties. He told his guardians that he has to be out to help in rebuilding the kingdom. Upon arriving at the location which was destroyed earlier, he was surprised to see that everything was completely rebuilt. Merlin informed him that she rebuilt everything up during the night.

The King then arrived and announced that Howzer will be the new captain. Some of the guards were surprised by the appointment of Howzer and he himself was shocked too. However, the King insisted on appointing him so he obliged and he was proclaimed as a substitute captain while Gilthunder is still missing.

The next scene showed Gowther's prison with the cell door open. It was revealed that Gowther killed the guards who were supposed to escort him. On the other hand, Meliodas began gathering all the Seven Deadly Sins member to finally end the Ten Commandments for good. Chapter 197 ends with the King back in Fairy Land with Diane.

"Seven Deadly Sins" Chapter 198 Spoilers 

Many fans speculate that the next chapter will show the King and Diane finally have a romantic relationship each other. The two will end their struggle to remember each other and their powers will be stronger due to their love for each other. Their stronger power is said to help with battling against the Ten Commandments.

It also rumored that Merlin's origin will finally be tackled. Some fans speculate that Merlin came from a clan that has not been seen yet in the manga series and that she was the only surviving member of the clan. It is also believed that her clan was eliminated since they are a threat to the Demon clan and she co-founded the Seven Deadly Sins with Meliodas to seek revenge for the death of her family.
