Samsung to Release Black Galaxy Note 2 to Earlier Than Expected?

Samsung customers would be happy to hear that one of the most popular smartphones, the Galaxy Note 2, is going to be available in black.

According to Gottabemobile, an image dug up by Android Slash, reveals an image of a black colored Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

"Problem is, the black Samsung Galaxy Note 2 isn't official yet as Samsung only offers the device in two color variants at the moment, white and blue in the United States," the report said. "And while Samsung hasn't announced the black Galaxy Note 2 yet, there is no reason to believe that it's not coming."

It's possible that the black version will appear sometime next year (2013).

Android Central brings out that Samsung might announce the Note 2's black version at CES in just over a week, so that's not that far away.

Samsung's "phablet" features a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED screen and a rear 8-megapixel auto focus camera with LED flash and front 1.9 megapixel CT camera with 1280 x 720 resolution and 265 ppi. It has a 1.6 Ghz quad-core processor and 4G LTE data speeds. It runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and comes with the S Pen experience as well as with up to 64GB of memory with 2GB RAM and a microSD slow up to 64GB. It has a 3,100 mAH battery and weighs 6.42 ounces. It costs $299.

The first Note recently got a "premium" upgrade. The upgrade to Android 4.1 Premium Suite brings not only Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, but also other features.

According to its website, one of the features is Multi Window. This enables you to do multiple tasks on the same screen at the same time with no screen transitions.

Popup Note allows users to instantly conveniently write down directions, phone numbers, and other information while on a call. Popup Note will intuitively open when you pull out S Pen or double tap the screen. Popup Video and Browser allow users to watch video or browse the web while per forming other tasks, all explained by Samsung.

Photo Note and Photo Frame "Treasure your memories with handwritten notes on the front or back of your photos" while Easy Clip can "Crop an image from any screen to save or share easily. And, just draw a line to select text. You can easily capture the instant inspiration" and Paper Artist "Provides an emotional & aesthetic photo editing experience. Choose from various picture editing effects."

There is also Handwriting on S Planner/Email. This allows you so send handwritten notes via Email or handwrite memos to yourself in S Planner. Like a post card, you can send your emotional feeling now via Email with handwritten notes. Like your paper planner, you can write down your tasks in a more personal and intuitive way. 

The Galaxy Note has a 5.3 WXGA (1280 x 800) screen with HD Super AMOLED display. It has a 1.4 Ghz Dual-Core Processor with 8MP rear-camera with LED flash and 2MP front-facing camera. It runs on 4G LTE and comes with the  S Pen experience. It has 16GB of internal memory and microSD (up to 32GB). IT HAS A 2,500 mAh battery with talk time up to 17 hours (2G) and 10 hours (3G).
